DEVIZES Town Youth stepped up their bid for honours in the under 15s Blue Division of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League with an 8-1 win over Chippenham Town Youth.
Devizes went in 3-1 up at the break and increased the pressure in the second half, scoring a further five to finish 8-1 winners.
The Devizes goals came from Tom Slater (2), Richie Frankly, Sam Chamberlain, Craig Campbell and a hat-trick from Luke Hopper, with Des Green replying for Chippenham.
This division is yet to be won, or lost, with three teams still having it all to play for.
Marlborough Town and Warminster Hornets played out a well fought match in foul conditions.
The first half ended all square at 1-1, with Marlborough conceding a penalty. The second half saw a hat-trick from Joe brace and one from Henry Maulik, taking the score to 5-1 before the Hornets scored a late goal to end the game at 5-2 to Marlborough.
Alistair Young and Emlyn Saunders scored for the Hornets and special praise went to the Hornets stand in goalkeeper for a terrific game.
Under 16s Blue Division
AFC CORSHAM United earned their fourth win of the season by running out 4-2 winners against Amesbury Juniors.
Mark Dolman and Johnny Moriarty gave Corsham a 2-0 lead at the break. Corsham increased their lead to 3-0 through Nathan Pritchard before Amesbury fought back scoring twice.
Amesbury fought well for the equaliser but the win was secured for Corsham with a fine header from Natty Auckland.
Under 15s Red Division
FC CHIPPENHAM secured third place following their convincing home win against Rowde Youth.
The two sides were level at 1-1 at half-time, but the second half was all Chippenham's way, as they went on to finish 12-1 winners. Stephan Klukowski (3), Jamie Fyall (2), Sam Pring (3), Ross Pollock, Tom Hunt, George Crotty and Dan Clemence all scored for Chippenham.
The game between visitors AFC Corsham and Warminster Highbury produced a very entertaining and end to end encounter.
The game was even throughout leading to a half-time score of 2-2. The second half could have gone either way but Corsham took all the points with a 6-5 final score. Daniel Crocker (4) and Matthew Palframan scored for Highbury.
Under 14s Green Division
RUNNERS-UP Amesbury Juniors ended their season on a low, going down 3-0 at home to AFC Corsham.
Adam Wood and Phil Wootten (2) scored for Corsham.
Third place Worton and Cheverell ended their season on a high following a very close game at Calne Town Youth. The first half was pretty even and goal-less. Worton took the lead early in the second before John Summers brought the game level. In the last minutes Worton regained the lead and finished 2-1 winners.
Under 13s Blue Division
DANNY Talbot and Tom Bonser scored both goals for Trowbridge Town Youth in their 2-1 home win against Castle Combe Colts.
Under 13s Green Division
HOME side FC Chippenham took a 2-0 lead in the first half of their game against Chippenham Town Rangers.
Rangers battled hard in the second half which saw both sides score three each to leave the final score at 5-3 to FC Chippenham.
Luke Webb (3), Jack Tysack-Smith and Gareth Cooper scored for FC Chippenham, with Tom Fraiser, Sean Hughes and Billy O'Brien replying for Rangers.
Under 13s Red Division
WORTON and Cheverell require three points to secure the runners-up spot following their 2-0 away win against White Horse Juniors.
Under 11s Blue Division
HOME side Calne caught Trowbridge cold and took an early lead in the game with a goal from Mike Coulson. Otis Young brought the game level before Calne regained the lead with a second from Coulson.
Trowbridge battled on and before the break had brought the game level for a second time after good work down the right from Steve Oakley leading to a well taken goal by Jordan-Lee Gullis.
Calne put Trowbridge under pressure throughout the second half but the visitors caught them out twice on the break with a second from Young and a glorious shot from Josh Ferguson from just inside Calnes half.
Under 11s Green Division
THE game between Devizes Town Youth and visitors Shaw and Whitley will be remembered most for the missed chances, mostly from Devizes.
In the end Devizes were worthy 3-2 winners, with goals from Daniel Case, Shea D'arcy and man-of-the-match Sam Perrett. Alex Raeburn and George Harding scored for Shaw.
Westbury Youth started well in their home game against Trowbridge Town Youth Blues, taking a 2-0 lead with goals from DJ Wheeler and Christian Lamfear. The visitors brought the game level with goals just before and immediately after the break. Sam Newton regained the lead for Westbury but a last minute penalty saw the game end level at 3-3.
Under 11s Red Division
THE game between FC Chippenham and visitors Devizes Town Youth was a little one sided, with Devizes having the bare 11 players.
The first half finished at 6-0 to Chippenham with all the play in the Devizes half and a number of misses by Chippenham's Richard Bray keeping the score down.
At half-time Chippenham switched their attack and defence and brought their keeper out on pitch to try and even things up but the Devizes players were beginning to tire and a further eight goals went past their keeper, even though he did make a number of excellent and courageous saves.
The game was very sporting with minimal stoppages.
Under 11s Yellow Division
TROWBRIDGEWanderers moved up to third place, with two games in hand over leaders Castle Combe, following their 5-2 home win against Derry Hill Boys.
Chippenham Town Rangers remain in second place following their 7-0 home win against Westbury Youth.
Under 10s Blue Division
FC CHIPPENHAM moved up to fourth following their 4-2 home win against Trowbridge Town Youth.
Under 10s Green Division
IN a top of the table clash leaders Trowbridge Wanderers and second place Bradford on Avon shared the spoils with a 2-2 final score.
Under 10s Red Division
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth increased their lead in third place to four points above fourth place Shaw and Whitley after defeating them 4-1 at home.
Jack Thornton, David Harding and Adam Petty (2) scored for Trowbridge.
In their first of two weekend games Trowbridge Wanderers shared the points with Derry Hill Boys in a 2-2 final score.
In their second game Wanderers found themselves on the wrong side of a 3-1 defeat away to Calne Town Youth.
In a bottom of the table clash FC Chippenham earned their first three points of the season, running out 3-2 winners at home to Bradford on Avon. Chippenham's goals came from Josh Carney (2) and Sean Hooper.
Hooper's goal was aided by a super cross from Oliver Phipps. Chippenham held on to the three points with the help of a superb last minute save by keeper John Young.
