LOCAL footballers are being asked to come forward and take part in a once in a life-time fundraising tour.
Lenton Griffins Football Club, skippered by Martin Dale, are attempting to set a world record this summer for the longest ever football tour.
In the process they will be raising money for the bowel cancer charity, the Bobby Moore Fund. The 17-strong squad will be travelling from London to Morocco and playing a game in each of 14 countries along the way.
Each player's successful completion of the tour will come with an entry in Guinness Book of Records under the Longest Ever Football Tour. They will be leaving on July 3 and will return on the August 5.
Anyone interested can find more information on www.worldrecordfootballtour.com or by contacting Martin Dale on (07968) 290001.
