CORSHAM'S superb run of form continued with a draw at top of the table Bristol Manor Farm on Tuesday.

A defeat for sixth-placed Willand on the same night also helped Nobby Bush's side cement their position in fifth.

Having drawn with Manor Farm in the reverse fixture Corsham travelled in confident mood and almost won the game.

Alan Griffin gave them the lead midway through the second half but the leaders got out of jail by equalising in the fifth minute of injury time.

Bush said: "Overall I think players were devastated afterwards to battle so hard and be denied victory at the end. But I was very pleased with the performance and it keeps our run going."

Bush felt Manor Farm's equaliser should have been disallowed but admitted a draw was a fair result. "We all felt Frankie Coleman was fouled in the build-up," he added.

"We are desperate to finish fifth. That would be a fantastic achievement after the start we had and it would be credit to the players."

Corsham started the game brightly but for the best part of the first half the two sides cancelled each other out. The second half started with the score locked at 0-0 but midway through the half Corsham got the opener when Dave Kilmurray put Griffin through.

Manor Farm threw caution to the wind and deep into stoppage time got the equaliser when a shot deflected in off the crossbar.

Corsham are at home to Street on Saturday. Bush said: "We drew 2-2 at their place when we really should have won it by half-time. Street have been struggling a little bit on getting players available but we must respect everybody do our job properly."
