CORSHAM Town's hopes of complimenting their superb league season by winning the Wiltshire Senior Cup have been rocked by an injury crisis.
Colin Bush is going to be down to the bare bones when he takes his side to Chippenham Town's Hardenhuish Park on Tuesday to face Trowbridge Town.
Defender Russell Lodge is unlikely to figure after continuing to struggle with injury while influential skipper Nigel Curtis is expected to miss out because of family commitments.
Fellow centre-back Dave Hopkins is ineligible because he played in this season's competition for former club Devizes Town.
On top of that Ben Highmore is also cup tied after turning out for Calne Town this season.
In response to the injury crisis Bush has called in Gareth Davies as cover but admits he may have to make some changes to the team.
"We've always said getting to the final has been a bonus because our priority has been to get fifth place in the league and possibly promotion," said Bush.
"Having said that of course I would love to get a trophy in the cabinet but at the moment I am struggling to get a team out for the game."
In the semi-finals Corsham romped through with a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Alan Griffin, Nigel Curtis and Dave Kilmurray.
The front partnership of Griffin and Kilmurray have been in fine form this season.
Griffin scored again against Larkhall on Friday while Kilmurray bagged two in that game and added another at Bristol Manor Farm on Tuesday.
Trowbridge Town, for whom Gavin Eyre has been dangerman all season, have had a great campaign and are second only to AFC Stratton in the Wiltshire League.
Bush added: "Because of our injuries in defence I've called in Gareth Davies and the likelihood is that he will start.
"I think there will have to be a personnel change of at least two or three players going into the final. I've got my fingers crossed that we don't pick up any more injuries in our home league game with Street on Saturday."
