MARKET Lavington car owner Jan Pearce has appealed to neighbours in the village to help him catch the vandals that hit his and his wife's cars four times in the last week.
Mr Pearce, who lives in White Street, came out on Tuesday morning last week to find that his new red Ford Focus estate had been damaged.
He told the Gazette: "Someone had taken a key or nail and gone all up one side. The following day they had done it again, this time on the bonnet."
But it didn't end there. Overnight on Friday his wife's car was scratched along one side and then, on Saturday night, his Focus was again attacked.
He said: "I have lived in the village for 17 years and to the best of my knowledge I have made no enemies. I can't understand why we have been singled out like this."
Mr Pearce has reported the attacks to the police, who said they are investigating. Mr Pearce said: "There is limited parking around here so we have little choice but to park in the street. Car repairs are very costly these days and I don't want to claim on my insurance and lose my no-claims bonus."
