TICKETS for this summer's Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford are now on sale in branches of Nationwide across the south and south west.

The building society, which has its headquarters in Swin-don, will have tickets for the event, on July 17 and 18, on sale from both the Swindon town centre branches, in Regent Street and The Parade, priced £29.50.

Tickets will also be on sale in more than 250 other high street branches.

Andrew Litchfield, Nation-wide's head of social and environmental responsibility, said: "We are pleased to be able to support such a prestigious event as the Royal International Air Tattoo, particularly as it helps raise money for the RAF Benevo-lent Fund.

"Nationwide was associated with the early days of the tattoo and we are delighted to be able to re-establish that link."

RIAT will feature events marking the 60th anniversary of D-Day and the centenary of the Anglo-French Entente Cordial.

There will also be displays of fighter planes from across the world and a gathering of Lockheed Martin C130s to mark the aircraft's 50th anniversary.
