CHIPPENHAM'S season ended on a high with an emphatic away win.
A penalty converted by Ceri Morris made the score 0-3 to Chippenham at half time.
In the second half prop Chris Murrow had to leave the field with a shoulder injury.
He was replaced by Sean Atkin who was making a return to playing rugby after a serious back injury.
A penalty that brought the scoreline level at 3-3.
An injury to Chippenham hooker Mickey Dyer meant the scrum had to be uncontested and straight from the restart replacement Mick Quantrough picked up the ball and ran 30 metres before passing on to Chris Mooney.
Mooney went over the line to score the game's first try. It was converted by Ceri Morris to make the score 10-3.
A further try was scored by Jon Billett after some fine work from their backs to increase their lead to 3-15.
With minutes left a set move in the backs created an opening for Andy Cornell to score the best try of the day.
He went past four players to place the ball under the posts. Again the try was converted by Ceri Morris.
