The Shires shopping centre in Trowbridge is undergoing a £70,000 spring facelift.
Work started this week to redecorate and spruce up the mall, although shoppers are unlikely to realise anything is going on at first.
Steve Murray, centre manager said: "The work is being done out of hours so there is no disruption for shoppers and tenants. We are starting with the Chapel Restaurant area as it won't be too long before Boswells caf is due to open and we wanted to get this part done first.
"As well as general painting and decorating, we will be giving the plants a new lease of life and in nine weeks, when the work should be finished, visitors will be able to enjoy a cleaner, brighter shopping environment."
Meantime, The Shires is getting ready for its latest new tenant. Phones 4U is set to open in the former Sheraton Jewellers shop once refitting is complete.
