A NEW business venture could at last have some of the answers for people in west Wiltshire hunting for Mr or Miss Right.
Helen Plummer, 28, former events and corporate officer for Bath's Royal United Hospital Forever Friends Appeal has started her own company, Eventy, and is launching a series of dating events next month called Singles in the City.
Miss Plummer wants to provide an alternative to the latest craze of speed dating, where people looking for their perfect match sign up to 'speed date' a series of potential partners.
Miss Plummer said: "I think perhaps the pressure is on to find your perfect match too quickly. There are a lot of people who want the opportunity to widen their social circle and do something fun, but don't want to jump headfirst into a relationship."
She is holding her first Singles in the City event in Bath on May 16 and is looking for a venue to hold similar events in Trowbridge, Westbury and Warminster.
Miss Plummer said: "Some may be new to the area, some may have just broken up with their partner who seems to have custody of their joint friends. The idea behind Singles in the City is there are opportunities throughout the night to meeting all of the guests."
The first event is for 25-35 year olds at Lounge in Bath and will be followed by an event for 35-45 year olds on June 13.
