WILTSHIRE'S most talented young musicians are getting together for a jamming session to celebrate the sounds of jazz.
The best junior jazz musicians will be performing at the Wiltshire Youth Jazz Festival at the Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford on Avon on May 3.
They will take part in a workshop with two members of jazz legend Jools Holland's band saxophonist Pete Long and trumpeter Mark Armstrong.
The day ends with an hour-long concert at 4pm led by Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra and during the day jazz players aged 10-18 can study swing, funk, Latin music and hip-hop.
More than 60 people took part in last year's event and organisers are welcoming any keen musicians who want to go along.
Workshop forms are available from school heads of music or by phoning (01225) 755439.
Players must be grade 3 standard or above and applications must be received by April 26.
