A BID to build houses and office space in Warminster town centre has faced criticism from councillors.
The plan to build four one-bedroom flats, eight two-bedroom flats and two office suites in the Market Place was hit by objections at a meeting of the Warminster Town Council's planning advisory committee.
Concerns raised included the type of properties proposed having an impact on the neighbourhood and local residents, the dangers of traffic using the development and highway safety.
A separate plan to demolish a boundary wall on the site to allow for homes to be built was also objected to because councillors had already raised fears on the proposed project.
But councillors did approve plans for temporary buildings to be put in the car park at The Avenue Surgery during their meeting on April 6.
