THE countdown is on to one of Bradford on Avon's biggest fundraising events of the year which takes place on May 3.
The annual May Fayre has been held at Christ Church Primary School, Berryfield Road, for 26 years and this year organisers are hoping to smash previous fundraising totals with an extra push on the number of stalls and events on the day.
Christ Church headteacher Neil Baker said: "Every year our annual May Fayre raises an amazing amount for both Christ Church School and Christ Church parish.
"This huge community event one of the highlights of the Bradford on Avon calendar would not be possible without the tremendous efforts of our many volunteers from both the school and the Church.
"Last year their efforts raised £6,000."
Attractions already booked for this year include maypole dancing, live folk music and a princess contest organised by the town's Lions Club.
Fairground rides, stalls and games are booked to keep the crowds entertained.
A three-mile fun run is due to take place at 2.30pm for the more energetic visitors to take part in and in the May Fayre Grand Draw someone could win the star prize of a mountain bike.
Gates open for the Bank Holiday Monday event at 1pm and the event finishes at 4.30pm.
