WHY is it that what seems to be a simple task sometimes causes the biggest problem?
Bradford on Avon's new tourist information office opened about a year ago, to much acclaim and admiration from many hundreds of visitors.
All is kept clean and shining by the staff and volunteers but, as anyone who has tried to reach it on a damp day knows, you have to cross a muddy slippery patch of grass in Westbury Gardens or find the path around the back to get there.
How can we get this very short path laid? Many attempts have been made. The district council don't have it in their budget, the town council have spent all their money improving the Bullpit and our suggestions of doing it ourselves raises health and safety problems. Surely we don't have to wait until a tourist or a resident has an accident before something is done.
