Sunday sees the 19th annual Wyn Rees Memorial seven-a-side competition at Wootton Bassett Rugby Club.
Last year the Fijian influence of the Slashers of the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment won the tournament in a closely-fought final against local team Great Western Rugby.
Unfortunately the Slashers are unable to make the tournament this year due to operational duties in Kosovo.
Even so, as the interest in the competition continues to grow, this year's entries are the strongest to date.
There will be strong local interest from Great Western, Wootton Bassett and Devizes, with teams from Banbury, Stow, Cheltenham and Gloucester also taking part.
Touring teams from Cardiff, Oxford, Somerset and Lancashire have also included the event on their calendars due to its increasing reputation in seven-a-side circles.
The competition kicks off at Stoneover Lane at noon, with the finals scheduled for 6pm onwards.
