AN African adventure beckons for two ex-Star delivery girls from Trowbridge. Chloe Ross and Lauren Sheath, both 16, are giving up their summer holidays and leaving their Hilperton homes for a three-week mission to Gambia.
The girls, both pupils at The John of Gaunt School, are going on the trip with Crusoe, part of Christian youth organisation Crusader.
They will be among a team of five youngsters who will help to build and decorate a new nursery and primary school, as well as helping at a local Sunday School and running a children's holiday club.
The girls need to raise £1,500 each for the trip. To raise the money they are making greetings cards, holding car boot sales and sponsored events, bag packing at supermarkets and planning a Gambia evening with an auction of promises. Anyone who can help the girls raise money can contact the Wiltshire Times on (01225) 352480.
