PURTON boss Alan Clark insists the celebrations are on hold even though his unbeaten side need just a point to effectively seal the Division One West title.

Quarry Nomads visit the Red House tomorrow for the penultimate game of the campaign and expectations are high.

Clark though, remains cautious.

"The champaign is still on ice," he said.

"We don't like to talk about winning the title yet we have to get the result first.

"A point will probably be enough because of our goal difference, but we will be going all out for the win.

"We don't want to have to go to Ardley on the final day needing a result."

Ross are the only side capable of catching the leaders, but third-placed Shrivenham still hope to overhaul the sole challengers and snatch second.

Alan Dyton's team travel to Harrow Hill without Mark Peters (rib) but Michael Silvanus and Nathan Holt are recalled and Gio Desando returns after five months out following knee surgery.

Dyton said: "I am pleased for Gio as he is a smashing lad with a lot of ability and will improve to be a really good footballer."

Highworth have rediscovered their early-season form this week, with convincing wins over Milton and Abingdon.

A trip to Didcot beckons tomorrow and John Fisher's side can end the Oxfordshire side's fading Premier Division title hopes with a win.

Nick McRae (ankle) and Adam Giles (dead leg) are both doubts, but Matty Saye is back for the remainder of the season.

Wootton Bassett have the weekend off, giving Pete Yeardley's charges the chance to get over the late mauling they suffered at Brackley on Tuesday.

Bassett led 2-0 with half an hour remaining, only to lose 7-2, with four Brackley goals coming in the final eight minutes.

Yeardley's side complete their quest for Premier Division safety at home to Hook Norton next Saturday.
