A GROUP spearheading Cricklade's entry into the Britain in Bloom contest has launched a sunflower growing competition for children.
Cricklade Bloomers wants to involve the entire community in improving the town's environment.
Sunflower plants and entry forms will be available free for collection at the Cricklade Garden Club spring plant sale in the Town Hall annexe on Saturday, May 15, between 9am and 11.30am.
There are two age categories: under sixes and seven to 11-year-olds. Judging will take place in August.
The group has also organised a clean up week starting today and a Freshen up Your Front day on Saturday.
