A GOAL three minutes from time rescued a 1-1 draw for Swindon Town Ladies in their final South West Combination League match of the season against Newton Abbot.
The visitors still required points to avoid the drop and were unlucky not to take the lead when Katy Smith's shot rebounded to safety off Town's crossbar.
In the 22nd minute, Abbot went ahead when Jo Aston's 25-yard lob caught the keeper stranded.
After the break, the crossbar saved the Town again when Aston's shot rebounded clear.
Then, in the 87th minute Town drew level as Smith's shot was knocked over the line by Brown.
SWINDON Town Under 12s finished their Wiltshire County League campaign in style, smashing 14 without reply past Frome.
They led 9-0 at half-time as Katie Smith, Ellie Maynard and Nicola Coe all blasted hat-tricks.
Five more goals followed in the second period, with two more for Coe, two for Hayley Neate and one more for Maynard.

SKIPPER Kerrie Keene lifted the Wilts 7-a-side Cup after Swindon Town Under 14 A's 5-0 triumph over Keynsham.
Town got off to great start in the first minute. Keene started the move that saw Samantha Masters drive across goal for top scorer Polly New to score.
In the second half, Keene headed the second from New's corner and Masters tapped into the empty net for the third.
It was Masters again who made it four, scrambling home following good work by Keene. And CJ Ellis completed the scoring from the edge of the box .

Swindon Spitfires slipped to a 3-2 defeat in a thrilling County Cup final against Keynsham Town, going down to a late winner.
Keynsham dominated the first half, but only took the lead late on, thanks to some excellent defending by Emily Willson and Louise Hoffa.
Spitfires roared back in the second period and Emma Skinner burst forward to equalise with a long-range shot.
Keynsham regained the lead, despite the efforts of Spitfires' keeper Jenny Gray, who pulled off a series of fine stops.
But Hoffa lifted the ball into the area and, with the Keynsham keeper unable to hold on, Katie New was on hand to crash home the second equaliser.
However, with five minutes remaining, Keynsham grabbed a winner.

SWINDON Badgers' Girls edged out Swindon Town Ladies 2-1 in an under 13 exhibition their first 11-a-side clash.
Badgers' keeper Tara James saved a penalty before Steph Lewis put Town ahead.
Frances Wilson grabbed the equaliser in the second half, then beat five players and fired in the winner.
