Premier Division champions Sherston Town completed the league and cup double in style when they saw off Division Two underdogs North Star A 4-2 in the final of the PPL Presto Print-sponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Knockout Cup.
Sherston became the first Chippenham & District Sunday League side since Cooper Avon Rangers in 2000 to capture both titles but they were given the fright of their lives having raced into a 3-0 lead at Bradford Town FC.
Andy Wicks' terrific 20-yard free-kick opened the scoring for Sherston and, six minutes before the break, Allan Webb side-footed the second.
North Star fell behind within a minute of the restart, when confusion in their defence allowed Ed Wilkins to steal in.
Wilkins turned villain when he upended Rob Smith, allowing Pete Thornton to reduce the deficit from the penalty spot.
But when Dan Beck found Anthony Vizard, he smashed in Sherston's fourth.
With 10 minutes left, Star's substitute Mark Sharrett gave them hope when he headed home a cross, but Town held on.
PREMIER DIVISION
Goals from Nick Oram, Richard Holman and Stuart Beavan were not enough to prevent All Cannings from losing 5-3 against Bradford News.
Russell Francis (2), John Burt (2) and Charlie Powell all found the target for the Newsmen, who included goalkeeper Dave Allen for his first match for 10 years.
DIVISION ONE
Maud Heath Sports' 2-0 win over Semington Rovers came courtesy of strikes by Ali Duncan and Dean Slade.
Trowbridge Harriers kept the heat on for runners-up spot, though. Their 4-2 victory over West End Wanderers leaves them two points behind with two matches left.
Harriers took the lead when player-manager Paul Edwards fired home. A Tony Kelly free-kick saw Wanderers level before Harriers added goals from Jamie Burbedge (2) and Andy Cooper. Nathan Mantle replied.
Leading scorer Matt Pratley stepped off the bench to equalise for Biddestone Social, although his side lost 2-1 against Wingfield.
Mark Barnett's rich vein of form continued when he headed his team in front and Neil Wilcox won it.
DIVISION TWO
It was 20 not out for Corsham Centre as they gained promotion.
Their 8-2 defeat of 10-man Somerford side also sent their opponents back to Division Three.
Simon Gray led the scoring with three, Liam Fullham (2), Scott Lye, Nigel Evans and manager Pete Ralph (penalty) also on target. John Goad replied with both for Somerford.
Relegated 10-man Roadrunners produced one of their finest displays of the campaign as they came from 3-0 behind to leave Spencer Sports clinging on for a 3-2 triumph.
Tom Evans, Ben Grinham and substitute Paul Eames put Somerford in control, before a Lee Kelty double made them nervous.
Tom Pang scored two of Holt's goals in their 5-0 win against Steeple Ashton, taking his total for the season to 50. Alan Fodder, Neil Grant and Paulin Mbekop completed Holt's tally.
Blue Circle Saints' 2-1 defeat of Sutton Benger made them safe, Shaun Sheppard and Graham Deveney's goals sandwiched Alex Prowting's first of the season for Benger.
DIVISION THREE
Four Seasons maintained their interest in the title, as a 4-1 home victory over Bradstone Rovers saw them close the gap to leaders Parsons Nose to just two points.
Marcus Young hit a hat-trick while Gary Banks added the fourth, Adam Sheffield with the consolation.
Nose must take at least a point from Westbury Rangers B on Sunday to clinch the honours.
Alan Davies returned to Old Lane United's line-up for his first game in five months and scored the opening goal as they defeated Trowbridge Town Supporters Club 3-2.
Gary McLoughlin and Ross Heard struck twice to hand the lead to the Town, but further goals from Ben Husband and Kia Pritchard earned Old Lane the win.
Hare & Hounds picked up the win they needed to move above Corsham Park Rangers into third place.
Goals from Leigh Wells and Nick Morris gave the Devizes team their best-ever finish to a season.
DIVISION FOUR
Kings Arms (Trowbridge) played their first game in four weeks and picked up two points to leapfrog Virgin Mobile and claim second spot.
Arms defeated KSM 7-0 and need only one win from their final two games to claim a first-season promotion behind winners FC Bradford.
Scott Askew's four goals took his tally for the season to 37, Jerome Dyer, Pete Spong and Jamie Iles adding the others.
Paul Cryer's 30-yard strike plus a penalty from Shahram Hematti was enough for Pack Horse Rangers to see off Rowde 2-0.
Old Road Tavern and North Star B battled out a nine-goal thriller in midweek, Star avenging their early-season 3-0 defeat as they gained a 5-4 triumph.
Kerry Upchurch, Martin Woolford, Ashlet Lawrence and Simon Palmer (penalty) scored for Tavern, but Darren Axford, Adam Godwin (2), James Yates and Simon Clifford won it.
Sunday sees the final of the Subsidiary Cup between Premier Division Hullavington and Division One winners Biddestone Social.
Bromham will host the game, which kicks off at 11am.
