NORTH Wilts Youth & Minor League and Cup double winners Stratton completed a treble over Mid-Wilts Trowbridge Town with a 3-1 win in the Under 15 County Cup Final.
Following last week's North Wilts Cup win at the County Ground, Stratton went to Melksham Town's ground full of confidence.
They started the game brightly with Rory Sproule testing the Trowbridge keeper with a powerful drive and then hitting the bar with a looping header in the 10th minute.
The early exchanges were fast and furious but the game settled and Stratton took the lead through a Lee Curtis drive that took a deflection and found its way into the net.
Trowbridge threw everything at Stratton in the early stages of the second half but Hall, Farrar, Daly and Underwood remained resolute.
Stratton, having weathered the assault, eventually got their reward when Curtis spun in the box and lashed a drive into the net.
Trowbridge had a penalty awarded soon after, and converted to make it a nervy last 10 minutes.
Stratton held their nerve, however, and after a good build-up, Baldwin rifled in an unstoppable 25-yard drive to seal a treble for his side and a county cup treble for the North Wilts League.
