CHIPPENHAM'S Under 10 Sharks performed well in the Bath Mini Festival finishing runners-up of their group before losing in the semi-final stage.
Sharks went down 10-5 against Havant in their opening game Michael Allies scoring Chippenham's try.
But two tries from Hal Bailey, and single touchdowns from Luke Gorman, Bas Parfitt and Allies gave Sharks a 25-0 win over Redruth.
Allies was on hand for the third successive game when he scored the only try against Bath B.
Chippenham's fine run came to an end when Winchester beat them 30-0.
Chippenham Under eights followed up from their runners-up spot in the Chippenham Mini Festival by going one better at the Bath Mini Festival.
They were undefeated all day as they ran out as worthy winners.
In the pool games, Chippenham beat Bath B 5-3 and then went on to beat Avon 6-3. They then drew their match against Havant 4-4, which saw them progress to the semi-finals.
They drew 4-4 with Bath A, going through on a superior try count at the pool stage, and then drew with Havant in the final, again winning on a try count.
