Ref. 30036-02PARENT power has brought residents in Swindon's Railway Village a new nursery.
Single mum Tina Ponting moved to the area last October and was disappointed to find there was no nursery to look after her daughter Bryony, 11 months.
So she contacted Swindon Council and quickly made contact with fellow mums Fiona Bennett and Azra Malik, who were in the same boat.
The three of them then formed Teddy Tubbies at the Central Community Hall.
Bryony certainly seemed to enjoy herself as she made a tower out of building blocks.
Tina said: "The Railway Village is a special community but there is no facility for the youngest age groups. I moved to the area as a single parent last year and was looking for a group for my daughter to go to.
"We just wanted to do something for our children and the general community."
The group meets every Tuesday between 1pm and 2.30pm.
For further information telephone Tina on 01793 431967.
