AMESBURY'S tourist information centre is operating from a different building, following its relocation from Redworth House.
The centre is now operating from a portable building in the courtyard of Amesbury library and is offering the same tourist information and council services to its customers as before.
The centre is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5pm, and the telephone number has remained the same - 01980 622833.
The move from Redworth House heralds the first stage towards a one-stop shop for all public enquiries in Amesbury.
Eventually, it is envisaged that Wiltshire county council and district council services will operate from the town's library
That project is still in the process but, to enable the sale of Redworth House to the Co-op, Amesbury tourist information staff have moved to their temporary home at the library.
All public services, including the Citizens Advice Bureau and the county council's social services team, have now vacated Redworth House - paving the way for the development of a new supermarket.
Ward member and portfolio holder for planning and economic development John Noeken, said: "We are committed to working with our partners to open a one-stop shop for all customer enquiries on local public services.
"Meanwhile, our tourist information staff will continue to offer their excellent service to the local residents and visitors to Amesbury."
