LAVERSTOCK & Ford rounded off their league campaign with an away point at bottom club Fleetlands, as neither side managed to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
The visitors tried to play some neat football and they took the lead when Elliott Wykes drove the ball into the box for Graham Mankin to head powerfully into the top corner.
But Laverstock were still celebrating when a long clearance turned their defence. A weak back-header was seized upon and a home forward beat Liam McConnell in the 'Stock goal.
Within five minutes Fleetlands had turned the game on its head when a corner was only half-cleared and a powerful volley gave McConnell no chance.
Laverstock dominated the second half, but they only found a leveller in the closing stages.
A corner was whipped in and, in the scramble, it fell behind Mankin who produced a spectacular overhead kick which nestled in the back of the net to wrap up a well deserved point.
'Stock's reserves visit Liss Athletic on Saturday in a Hampshire Combin-ation Division One match.
