FAMILIES living on the Little Island development on the old hospital site in Wilcot Road in Pewsey have formed their own community association.
The first event for the Little Island Residents Association will be a car boot sale on Bank Holiday Monday, May 31, on the lawned area and car parks by their homes.
One of the organisers Debbie Jackson explained: "We are trying to raise money because some of the houses have no gardens and nowhere to store anything."
The association has been given the go ahead by landlords James Butcher Housing Association to provide some small sheds on the clothes drying areas.
Besides the car boot sale there will be children's amusements including a bouncy castle.
Car boot pitches will cost £5 and can be booked through Miss Jackson (01672) 564172.
