YOUNG cricketers at Dauntsey's School will be taking part in a prestigious match today when an MCC XI visits the school.
The game is part of the MCC's Western Schools Week, which aims to promote the sport, and will be a test for the West Lavington schoolboys.
Although there are no household names in the MCC side the Dauntsey's cricketers are expecting tough match.
Daunstsey's head of cricket Andy Palmer said: "We are all excited. It comes a bit early in the season because we haven't got a lot of practice in yet but we still want to give a good account of ourselves.''
The tourists will include county youth players Tim Saye, who lives in Devizes, and Tim Burne.
