MARLBOROUGH Town remain in contention for runners-up spot in the under 16s Red Division of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League following their away win against fellow contenders Devizes Town Youth in their penultimate game of the season.

Marlborough made the most of their chances in the first half and took a 2-0 lead into the second. Owen Burgess put Devizes back into the game but the resolute defending by Marlborough kept them at bay and the game finished at 2-1 to Marlborough.

Under 16s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Town clinched the title with a 2-1 home win over Chippenham Town Rangers.

The game was close throughout with nothing separating the two at the break when the score was 1-1.

The second half remained close but a goal in the final minutes secured the victory and the title for the home side. Paul Gittings and Matty Cooper scored for Trowbridge.

Under 15s Blue Division

THERE were lots of chances and much effort from both Amesbury Juniors and Warminster Hornets but chances were lost, leading to a 0-0 half-time score.

The second half almost repeated the first except for one well taken chance which gave Amesbury the three points with a 1-0 final score.

In another close encounter Devizes Town Youth earned three vital points with a 1-0 win over fellow championship contenders Westbury Youth.

The game was close throughout with Tom Slater scoring the only goal 15 minutes into the second half.

Chippenham Town Youth's Ben Butterfield scored a double hat-trick in their 7-1 away win against Trowbridge Wanderers, with Thorpe scoring the other goal.

In a midweek clash Marlborough Town played host to Chippenham Town Youth in a well contested match on a poor pitch.

Both sides battled well and a fine strike by Mike Jones from a corner put Marlborough in front. Chippenham drew level before Marlborough regained the lead just before the break.

The second half could have seen the game go either way with attack followed by counter attack throughout. Both sides took a point each from the encounter with Chippenham equalising midway through the second half.

Under 15s Red Division

THE first half performance from home side FC Chippenham secured their victory against AFC Corsham, with the home side taking a 4-0 lead at the interval.

The second half was more evenly contested with the Corsham defence less penetrable leading to a full time score of 6-1. Chris Akin (2), Ryan Miller, Rob Phillimore, Stefan Klukowski and Tom Hunt scored for Chippenham.

Warminster Highbury finished their season on a high winning their fourth game of the season away to Durrington Rangers.

The first half was fairly close, with the visitors taking a narrow one goal lead at 3-2. Highbury were the stronger of the two in the second half scoring a further three goals to finish 6-3 winners.

Wayne Collins, Nick Sleeman, Scott Laird and Daniel Crocker (3) scored for Highbury.

Under 14s Red Division

CHAMPIONS Bradford on Avon ran out convincing winners at Melksham Park.

Bradford took a 4-1 lead at the break then totally controlled the second half, scoring a further six times to finish 10-1 winners.

Craig Rankin, Dan Fowler (2), Sam Jordan (2), Lewis Mellam (2), Jack Smith and Tom Melbourne (2) scored for Bradford.

Under 13s Blue Division

THE winners and runners-up titles in this division will go to the final day of the season on Sunday following this week's game between Trowbridge Wanderers and visitors Amesbury Juniors.

Amesbury started well, taking a 2-0 lead early in the first half, but Wanderers hit back to take the lead on half-time at 3-2.

This thrilling encounter continued in the second half with Amesbury always looking to get back in the game and Wanderers looking to seal the victory. The luck went with Wanderers and a fourth goal saw the final score at 4-2. Stuart Greener, Ronnie Frost and Marcus Brown (2) scored for Wanderers.

Under 13s Green Division

CHAMPIONS Warminster Highbury played host to runners up Westbury Youth in a very entertaining game which saw Westbury take a 2-0 lead at the break.

Highbury battled on in the second half bringing the game level before taking the lead and sealing the victory at 4-2. Identical twins Chris and John Haggerty (3) scored for Highbury.

Under 12s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers finished the season as champions with 14 wins from 14 games after running out home winners over Amesbury Juniors.

Wanderers were on top form throughout the match, taking a 4-1 half-time lead and finishing 7-1 winners. Wanderers' goals came from Daniel Tallentire, Robert Smith, Elliott Ballam and Declan Harrison (4).

FC Chippenham finish their season as runners-up after a 1-0 win over Trowbridge Town Youth.

Under 12s Red Division

IN a top of the table clash division winners Calne Town Youth took all three points against second place Trowbridge Wanderers and are the new champions.

Wanderers were on top at the end of the first half, taking a 3-2 lead. All the chances went Calne's way in the second half and they scored a further two to finish 4-3 winners. M Coulson (2), M Smart and A Hopkins scored for Calne.

Under 11s Green Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers moved up to third after running out 3-2 winners away to Westbury Youth.

DJ Wheeler (penalty) and Jake Ross scored for Westbury.

Under 11s Red Division

A TOP of the table clash in the glorious Friday evening sunshine saw Bradford take an early lead with a cracking goal from Alex Palmer after just two minutes in their away game against FC Chippenham.

It was a closely fought game with goal chances for both teams but it remained 1-0 at half-time.

The end to end game continued in the second half with Bradford keeper Ed Baldy making some important saves. Bradford sealed their victory with a goal from Robbie Carrington in the 52nd minute. The win confirmed Bradford as division winners.

Bradford on Avon and visitors Devizes Youth battled hard in the sunshine but the game remained goal-less at the break.

Bradford had more and more of the possession in the second half with a goal from Paul Cuthbertson disallowed for offside.

Cuthbertson scored a valid goal in the 43rd minute to be followed by two goals from Jamie Parlour in quick succession in the final minutes.

Bradford, the division winners, maintained their unbeaten record in the league since Christmas.

Chippenham Town Youth finish their season in third place following their home game against Pewsey Vale.

Chippenham went 1-0 up at the break, with a goal from Peter Quainton, with Pewsey equalising after half time. The game remained level until the last few minutes when Jonathan Simpkins clinched the three points for Rangers in a 2-1 final scoreline.

Under 10s Blue Division

IN a bottom of the table clash Trowbridge Town Youth earned their second win of the season with a 1-0 win at home to Devizes Town Youth.

Corey Smitherman scored the goal.

Under 14s Subsidiary Cup

SCOTT Cunningham (3), Tom Parr (2), Toby Dawson (2) and Danny Amoroso scored for Trowbridge Town Youth in their semi-final game away to Shaw and Whitley 2nds.

Trowbridge will play Bath Arsenal in the final on Sunday.
