MALMESBURY continued their good end of season form with a convincing win over bottom of the table Clanfield.

Clanfield took an early lead when goalkeeper Jones pushed a cross out to the feet of a visiting forward who slammed the ball back past him.

But Malmesbury battled back and soon equalised when good work by Townsend and Mitchell set up Brock for a simple tap in.

They then went ahead before half-time when Townsend was put through and expertly flicked the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.

Mitchell added a third when his header was initially saved by the goalkeeper but he hammered home the rebound.

The result made it seven wins in ten games for Malmesbury who are now safely in mid-table with one game to play.
