GAZETTE & HERALD: Three teachers from India visited John Bentley School, Calne, this week as part of an education exchange scheme.
The teachers, from Vidya Niketan School in Bangalore, were on a visit organised by the British Council.
Last November three teachers from Calne visited the Indian school, which teaches pupils aged five to 18.
Owen Vince, head of foreign languages, said that Calne pupils were studying local geography around Bangalore, comparing the Indian water cycle with our own and looking at Indian culture and religions.
"The link makes the visibility more real for the students and we communicate electronically with the Indian school," he said.
The visitors also toured a number of primary schools in the town.
