THESE piglets are the latest arrivals at Cotswold Wildlife Park. Born a few days ago, the two litters totalling 16 are grabbing the limelight at the Burford park.
Spring, it seems is definitely in the air and head keeper David Fowler says he has his hands full.
Within the past fortnight he and his staff have helped deliver three lambs, and six African Pygmy goat kids.
Mr Fowler said that both piglets and their proud mums, Jennifer and Clarissa named after the BBC TV cookery show Two Fat Ladies are doing fine.
Sadly, with 250 different animal species at the park, ranging from snakes to penguins, there isn't enough room for all the kune kune piglets, which originate from New Zealand.
Now the park official is looking for good new homes, preferably in a zoo.
"They are very cute and we even have a couple of blonde ones, which is quite rare," said Mr Fowler. "We will be keeping one of the males to keep the adults company.
"They are very good natured and excellent with people."
Cotswold Wildlife Park is a popular destination for Swindon families. Maureen Clifford, the park secretary, predicts a busy bank holiday weekend.
She said: "People can have a great time watching the animals and children will be able to touch and feed the older goats in the farm yard.
"The piglets are by far the cutest, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand but growing rapidly."
Throughout the weekend there will be displays of birds of prey.
Cotswold Wildlife Park is open from 10am, seven days a week. Admission is £8 for adults and £5.50 for children aged three to 16. Under threes are admitted free.
