Marlborough will be looking to improve on the club's best season of 2003. The Saturday first team finished fourth in Division 2 of the Gloucester/Wiltshire League while the 2nds finished sixth in their respective league.
The newly-created midweek team finished second in the Savernake Forest League and they were losing finalists in the Knockout Cup.
This season will pit the first team back against old rivals Wootton Bassett, and playing Swindon in a Saturday League for the first time.
New Saturday first team skipper is Navid Ahmad, while Vikesh Patel will lead the Saturday 2nds for the first time.
Richard Turnell (ex-Wiltshire Minor County player) returns after his travels in Australia last season. Two former first team captains, Hendy Alleyne and Magnus Painter, return to add strength to the batting and the overseas player will be youngster Vinay Sharma.
This weekend Marlborough take on Malmesbury. This is the first season that the clubs will have played a first team and a second team fixture on a Saturday.
1st home (meet 1pm): Navid Ahmad, Andy Halliday, Jiggy Patel, Vinay Sharma, Hendy Alleyne, Frank Whiting, Richard Turnell, Peter Day, George Fox, Nathan Morgan, Peter Mathias.
2nd away (meet 12.30pm): Vikesh Patek, Jonathan Maslin, Andy Hay, Mark Cooper, Nick Crabbe, Steve Jones, Karl Morris, Vanny Williams, David Slager, Tom Wallbridge, Joey Skeaping.
