CHIPPENHAM NEWS: A TEENAGER from Melksham and a 19-year-old Corsham man have appeared in court in connection with a New Year fracas at a north Wiltshire pub.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and Daniel Crewe, of Pockeridge Road, are both accused of causing actual bodily harm to a man in the Three Brewers pub, Corsham.
The victim suffered a one-inch gash to the head after being struck on the head with a bottle.
Both face a separate charge of assaulting a second victim, while the 17-year-old is accused of assaulting a third man.
Crewe faces a third charge of criminal damage, after a window was smashed at the pub in the early hours of New Year's Day.
No pleas were entered at the hearing at Chippenham Magis-trates' Court on Monday. The case was adjourned for medical reports to be prepared and both defendants were released on unconditional bail.
