STEVE White believes the change in formation and personnel has breathed new life into his Chippenham Town side.
Back-to-back drubbings at the hands of Dorchester Town and Hednesford Town in recent weeks looked to have left any play-off dreams in tatters, but Saturday's demolition of Moor Green has given Chippenham a lifeline.
The Town boss opted to leave the experienced Colin Towler, Scott Walker, Martin Paul and Ian Herring in reserve in favour of the more youthful line up that started against Swindon in the Wiltshire Premier Shield victory.
Sam Allison, Andy Robertson, Lee Davdison and Wayne Thorne were all given rare starts, as they reverted from their wing back system to a more conventional 4-4-2, and the Town boss was impressed with what he saw.
White said: "The change in system has worked wonders. We had injuries to two or three influential players but this proves no one player is indispensable.
"Five or six lads have come in and done exceptionally well," he said
"Some people before hand were saying I would bring back some of the players that were missing against Swindon, but I never had a thought the starting 11 would not be the same."
White praised the courage his side showed in keeping the season alive going into the last game of the season.
He said: "Before the game we were under pressure to do well. It was a massive game and as I said to the players it was very important we went out with a flourish in front of our home fans.
"The supporters have been brilliant all season and I am delighted we could reward them with four goals against Moor Green who I thought were the best side in the division when we played against them last time.
"Over the 90 minutes we had the cutting edge and every time the ball went forward we looked dangerous."
"It will be great to go into the next game with half a chance of making the play-offs. That is what I have called for and credit to the boys they rolled their sleeves up and performed," he said.
"The most important thing for me at this football club is to keep this team together and that is what I will be striving to do over the next week.
"It is out of our hands and we are relying on other results, but we have to win the game and then we will see what has happened to the rest of them."
