COLIN Bush will be making changes to his Corsham Town side ahead of tomorrow's last game of the season at Willand Rovers.
With a fifth place finish in the ScrewfixLeague First Division already secure the Corsham boss will take the chance to give some of his fringe players a start.
Gary Blackwood, Ryan Bush, Carl Bush and Steve Roddy have been waiting on the substitutes' bench for a lot of this season and Bush feels it is only fair to give them a game tomorrow.
He said: "Some of my players have been substitute for the 17 or 18 games while only being given one or two starts.
"Their attitude has been tremendous and it is only right that they play a big part in our last game of the season. I will probably rest John Woods, as he has had a long hard season, and there are others who deserve a rest."
Corsham had enjoyed a superb run of form that had seen them lose just twice in their last 25 matches but the shine was taken off by Tuesday's Wiltshire Senior Cup final defeat to Trowbridge Town.
Bush insists his players will not be affected by that result and said they had achieved their main objective.
He said: "We set to finish in the top six and that is what we have done. We now have to wait and see whether that's enough for promotion.
"The cup defeat was disappointing but it was not our priority. Hopefully it we can win promotion it will shape our club for the next five years. I will make sure the lads are ok after Tuesday and we will still be going out on Saturday looking to win. But the pressure is off and we can enjoy ourselves a bit."
l CORSHAM'S miserable week continued on Wednesday night as their youth team lost 2-1 to Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the County Cup youth final at the County Ground, Swindon. Following on from the senior team's surprise defeat on Tuesday, Corsham were again the victims of a shock result.
Having already been crown league champions with a 100 per cent record, including two wins over Bemerton, Corsham went into the final as big favourites.
But Jamie Lyons' goal first half strike was not enough as a penalty three minutes from time gave Bemerton a 2-1 win.
In the dying seconds Corsham's Liam Rolph went down in the area but a penalty was turned down.
Corsham manager Brian Bartlett said: "It was a penalty but unfortunately for us the ref never saw it. We had them on the rack but it just wasn't our day."
