OVER 350 worried residents have signed up to save a threatened shop and petrol station.
A petition has been launched to save Costcutters convenience store, Murco petrol station and Toyota sales garage on Victoria Road in Warminster.
Owners Renrod Motor Group, are moving to the White Horse Business Park in Trowbridge in September and are believed to be in negotiations with a housing firm and retail company over the future of the land.
Residents held a protest on Monday morning and are sending the petition to Renrod management.
Disabled Danny Pearce, 86, of Victoria Road, said: "I have used this shop every day for the past five years, someone has to save it. I have to use a walking frame and it is impossible for me to get to any other shop."
Jeremy Cuff, marketing director for Renrod, said: "There is no buyer for it and it has not been sold. The company is considering its options. It would be wrong to say anything as we don't want to add to the speculation."
