A SPECIAL tribute concert is being held in memory of a long-serving festival choir organiser.
Grant Beswick was behind the Corsley Festival Choir for over 30 years before he died in March, aged 80.
Members of the choir will perform Elijah at the West Wiltshire Music Centre on May 9 dedicated to his memory.
Choir member Len Osborn said: "Grant and his wife Charlotte were the driving force that saw the choir grow from a small group of singers complementing major church services to a highly successful choir with a broad repertoire and professional conductor and soloists."
Mr Beswick was also the driving force behind the children's choir and orchestra at St Margaret's Church in Corsley.
Friend Brian Brooksbank said: "He has been a member of the choir from the simple beginnings 30 years ago and even held practices in his home.
"His meticulous planning, musicship and drive has been important in the choir's continuing development and all of us owe him a large debt of gratitude."
The concert will start at 8pm and tickets cost £13.50 for adults and £8 for children and are available by calling (01373) 832511.
