SUNDAYS - Acoustic Cavern Music Club at the St James' Wine Vaults in Bath
A NEW venue for live music opens its doors on Sunday with the launch of the Acoustic Cavern Music Club at the St James' Wine Vaults in Bath.
The club will take place on a monthly basis, on Sunday afternoons, starting at around 2pm.
Neil Whiting took over the St James' Wine Vaults last month.
"Being in a band myself I'm a great supporter of acoustic folk/jazz clubs and any live music," he said. "The function room in the cellar bar at the venue is ideal for this sort of thing.
"What I would love is if someone who has played here to became a really big star one day."
Any musician who wishes to perform on the acoustic stage can join the club and if bands wish to play during the Sunday afternoon sessions they should call Neil on (01225) 310335 or email neil@acousticavern.
co.uk Alternatively you can just turn up and join the club on the day as a number of floor spots will be available. The club is also open to those who just want to sit back and enjoy the music.
Celebrating the opening of the Acoustic Cavern Music Club will be Bath-based contemporary folk foursome Folked Up, who will be performing a set of modern and traditional music.
As well as original material the band also performs covers by U2 and other well-known bands.
