TEACHERS, doctors, nurses and other emergency services workers can apply for low-cost housing in a new estate near New College, in Walcot.
Swindon Council wants nominations from people to present to the housing association which is in charge of the new development.
A number of homes are available, including six two- bedroom, second floor flats which will be ready in June.
Four two-bedroom houses will be ready in September.
Prices vary but are on average about a third cheaper than the private market.
The properties are being made to rent exclusively to key workers in the town, which includes those working in education.
A higher priority is given to those working in secondary and special needs schools.
Priority will also be given to those working in health fields , including nurses, doctors and therapy staff who are employed by local NHS organisations.
Emergency services staff, including police, firefighters and paramedics and those who work in the community for Swindon Council and other statutory agencies are also seen as a priority.
Those interested must be in housing need and be working in Swindon.
