Swindon Arts Centre is to get new outside lighting after patrons said it looked too gloomy.
The centre, in Devizes Road, is to get a £5,000 makeover, thanks to a donation from Swindon-based plant and machinery hire company John O'Flynn Developments.
The money will be spent on extra outside lighting and replacement fire exit doors.
Marketing officer Jill Tomalin said: "We were concerned that the centre isn't as visible as it should be and has a relatively low level of lighting outside.
"We are extremely grateful to Coun Fionuala Foley and the sponsor for helping us with this."
