SOMEONE from Swindon could find themselves taking a walk on the wild and windy side next month when the Utterly Butterly biplanes arrive for Kemble Air Show.

The professional wing walking team is offering one charity fundraiser in the area the chance join them for a flight on the top wing of one of their 1940s planes.

Spokeswoman Rhiannon Nugent said the Utterly Butterly aerobatics team received hundreds of requests from people wanting to raise cash for their charities by wing walking, but was unable to fulfil them all.

"This seemed a good way of helping a charity in each area we go to," she explained. The Butterlys fly their Boeing Stearmans aircraft across Europe to take part in aerobatic shows, completing loops, rolls and stall-turns while their wing walkers wave to the crowds.

"It is fantastic fun," said Marie Duguid, 26, formerly from Purton, who is part of the team.

"Whoever lands this opportunity will experience the most thrilling flight of their lives."

Potential wing walkers need to be shorter than 6ft 1ins and under 13st. Entry forms and information are available from Spreading Happiness, Studio D3, The Depot, 2 Michael Road, London, SW6 2AD.
