SWINDON Under 13s competed in the Newbury 10s festival but lost in the Plate final.
They met Windsor in their first pool game and went down 10-5, Ben Loosmore with the consolation try.
After receiving a bye, they then drew 17-17 with Reading Abbey.
Luke Guest ran 75 metres for the first try, Alex Hawkins set up Ollie Mangnall for a second try, Nick Cozens converting and scoring the final try before being injured.

Swindon then progressed to the plate competition and beat Newbury B 29-0 in the last eight with tries from Mangnall (2), Hawkins, Tom Hatch and Loosmore.
In the semi-finals Swindon faced Melksham and tries from Mangnall and Loosmore, one converted by Dan Jones, saw them lead 12-0 before Melksham grabbed a consolation score.
Swindon, though, could not match Redingensians in the final, though, going down 34-0.

The under 14s also competed at Newbury and in their first game a try from Liam Rowe, from a Dene Ashworth pass, cancelled out an early Windsor try for a 5-5 draw.
Swindon lost 34-0 to a more experienced Camberley side, went down 17-0 to Bath, and then went out of the plate to Crawley.

Swindon Under 15s travelled to Salisbury for their final game.
Swindon took control from the start and twice went close before scoring 10 minutes before half-time when a neat passing move saw Jason Wright touch down under the posts. Dan Whitmore converted.

But Wright sealed victory for the visitors with only a few minutes left on the clock, scoring in the corner for a 12-5 victory.
