JUNE 14 - 19, BATH: Glamour queen Joan Collins is coming to Bath this month. From June 14 the actress will take to the stage at the Theatre Royal Bath. The Hollywood star is the star of Alan Melville's elegant comedy of manners, Full Circle.
She plays a best selling novelist, Denise Darvel, who unexpectedly confesses to her children that the handsome man in the portrait above the fireplace is not, after all, their father.
The plot goes on to reveal that Denise is not a widow, has never been married and all three children have different fathers.
In the interests of respectability, the search for a candidate to play the perfect father-substitute ensues, producing surprising results.
She will be supported by Nickolas Grace, Gary Raymond and John Quayle.
This is not the first time she has played in Bath. The actress, famed for the role of Alexis Carrington in the TV soap Dynasty, last visited the Theatre Royal when she starred in the comedy Moon Over Buffalo. Full Circle runs until June 19. Tickets cost from £13 to £28. For bookings (01225) 448844.
