I WOULD not have worded my letter in the same way as Trev Wilson (EA, May 31 'Improve this stupid junction') but I thoroughly agree that the road layout needs a slight adjustment at the Drove Road/Groundwell Road junction.
Traffic is still being forced into one lane and this defeats the whole object of trying to keep vehicles moving down Drove Road.
Obviously both lanes should be for traffic going towards the Magic Roundabout with the left-hand lane also catering for traffic turning left into Groundwell Road. Thankfully this can be put right.
I have seen a taxi jumping the queue by going down the left hand lane and speeding straight across, contrary to the sign on the road.
Silly rules will always be ignored and this is why something needs to be done.
