TWO North Wilts & District Youth under 13 teams, Croft Juniors and Westlea Wanderers, faced each other in the final of the Festival of Football at Butlins, in Minehead.
Teams from the South West and Midlands were represented and it was a tribute to the standard of football in North Wilts that the two finalists were both from Swindon.
Both teams played in different leagues and each had three tough games in two days, but managed to secure their places in the semi-finals.
Croft went through to the final by beating Britton AFC, from Bristol, who had previously beaten Westlea in their league match.
Westlea made the final after a nail-biting match against Bromsford Bridge from Wolverhampton, going through on a dramatic shootout.
In the final though, it was Westlea who stole the show, with a two-goal win victory.
