GREENMEADOW were one of the winners at the Tom Jones sixes at the weekend, and while the man who lends his name to the tournament was not present, one member of the family did play a key role.
Former Swindon Town midfielder Tom is currently half-way through his first season as coach of Korean giants Busan Icons, but son Matty was carrying the Jones torch in the tournament at South Marston.
Jones Junior was part of the Greenmeadow side that triumphed in the under 9 section.
After completing the group stages unbeaten, Greenmeadow took the crown with a 1-0 final victory against Lydiard Youth.
Jonathon Leighfield's extra-time golden goal settled the tie.
While Jones the elder was not present, his former Swindon Town team-mate Paul Bodin was on hand to dish out the silverware.
As well as honouring Greenmeadow, Bodin handed the under 11 trophy to Croft, who won 1-0 in their final showdown with AFC Swindon.
Triumph International-sponsored Croft were winners of the under 10 section by the same scoreline against Highworth.
Jack Parker netted the decisive goal.
Shaw were winners of the Fair Play trophy in the under eight category.
