AS an avid Swindon Town football fan I must put pen to paper with regard to my enjoyment of watching my team in the second leg play offs.
My husband and myself accompanied my son and friends to the Litten Tree public house in Fleet Street.
What a wonderful atmosphere we found ourselves in: good views, brilliant company. It was as good as the old days in the Town End but what a let down at the end of the match.
While we were all devastated at the result was it really necessary for a doorman to mutter to me as I left that he was glad Brighton had won!
While I also believe in free speech I am amazed that a person in such a responsible role could make such a provocative remark and the police seemed prepared to let this happen. I would like to add that I am well over 50 years old and my husband well over 60 so we were hardly going to cause any conflict.
