DO the two public presentations re the proposed stadium to be built on top of Shaw Forest Community Park constitute the "extensive" public consultation put forward by St Modwen/STFC in their joint press release of March 27?

In the council Cabinet minutes of April 28, there is a response to the effect that "St Modwen has confirmed that if the current venues identified to enable extended hours 'drop' in opportunity need to be repeated or larger venues organised then this will be done."

However, in response to questions from Trust STFC members, Mark Devlin indicated that there were no further plans to meet with residents to allay fears or address concerns.

At this stage, I don't think the residents of Purton, Washpool, Rodbourne Cheney, Moredon, Even Swindon and Westlea have been consulted even though the plan is likely to affect them.

Will the above residents and those in Sparcells, Shaw, Peatmore, Nine Elms, Ramleaze and Middleleaze be given the extensive consultation originally proposed or is the intention to bulldoze this plan through regardless?

The one area I can commend St Modwen and STFC on is their frugality £360 for the hire of Roughmoor Hall for one afternoon/evening represents great value for money on a project estimated to cost between £17m and £23m. Perhaps the savings can be used to help fund the STFC Youth Programme next year.
