Swindon Nalgo 1st managed a winning draw on Saturday against newly promoted Berks County Sports.
After being put into bat, Nalgo scored 257-4 from their 45 overs with Mudasser Rafiq scoring 104 not out, Maurice Beale with 47 and Shaz Khan 40.
Rafiq's hundred came off only 45 balls. He faced 32 balls for his first 50 followed by 13 balls for his second 50.
Nalgo started well in the field with James Lovegrove's fielding which caused a run out in the second over.
Although Jas Chahal and Khan bowled well in first 20 overs by restricting BCS to 46, Nalgo found it hard to take wickets. BCS finished their innings on 204-4.
Nalgo 2nd won the toss against Embrook and elected to field.
Opening bowlers Tufal Khan and Irfan soon made inroads into the Embrook innings.
Khan took 4-11, and left arm spinner Phil Jones 3-27 as Embrook were all out for 120 in 37.5 overs.
Nalgo 2nd made an unlucky start, with opener Matthew James being bowled and Sim followed in the same manner. Sandy Steele Davis (57 not out) and Paul Penfold (44 not out) saw Nalgo home.
It was Nalgo's third win of the season, and, with an additional winning draw, put them on top of Division 4 of the Berkshire Cricket League.
