THE UK is a nation of aspiring entrepreneurs, but nearly half have no clue as to how to make their dream a reality, according to research.
But Business Link Berkshire and Wiltshire says help is a click away.
Its new interactive Personal Business Profile provides a starting point for all would-be entrepreneurs visiting its website.
The online profiling tool allows individuals to rate their level of self-employability, get an insight into their personal business style and identify skills and knowledge gaps.
By completing a questionnaire, they will receive a free, tailored assessment, which can be printed directly from the website.
Each assessment provides:
An action plan outlining where to get support, advice and training to take a business idea forward.
A summary of an individual's business style.
How an individual scores against the six dimensions of self-employability.
An analysis of the individual's skill gaps.
Andy Reeve, business start-up adviser manager for Business Link Berkshire and Wiltshire, said: "Getting a business off the ground and keeping it running successfully is both challenging and rewarding. Our Personal Business Profile assessment software is a useful and insightful point of reference to help kick-start a successful approach to business."
The profile can be found at www.blbw.co.uk.
