COMPANIES which can demonstrate success in today's global market are being urged to enter the 2004 International Business Awards - and in so doing, put their town on the international business map.
The awards recognise and reward international business achievement in all sectors of UK trade and industry.
There are twelve categories and all are open to consumer, business and other commercial organisations and service companies which have achieved success in export markets.
Malcolm Guest, managing director of Coface UK, speaking on behalf of the sponsors, said: "We have seen a welcome upturn in international trade and investment in the last year.
"These awards are designed to recognise and applaud those British companies for their important contribution to the UK economy and to help raise the profile of what international opportunities can bring to the future business environment."
The awards are organised by UK Trade and Investment, the government organisation that provides support services for UK companies trading overseas, and Highbury Business, publishers of Export Times. Closing date for entries is September 1.
For an application form, visit www.internationalbusinessawards.co.uk or contact Celine Peacock at Export Times, on 01322 611368. The awards will be presented at a gala dinner in London in November.
